Hello Friends!

This fall David Sinclair and I, Isabel Caldwell, are heading out west with the Dartmouth Earth Sciences program to study rocks. We are starting in Banff Canada and over the ten week period we are working our way down the western US to the Grand Canyon. We will be spending between two days and ten days in each place we visit and we will be sure to take many pictures and post them on this blog so that our friends and family can keep up with our travels.

We are leaving in two days, on Monday September 3rd. Dave is flying from Montreal and I am flying from Albany. We are very excited to begin the trip!

Today Dave and I hiked Franconia Ridge with my brother Austin and our friend Leif. It was a gorgeous day to be on the ridge and we had a great time. Here are some pictures of the day:
