Heading Down South

We left Banff a few days ago and headed back to America. Our last night in Banff the professors cooked us a delicious lasagna dinner and we had a fun night! We spent two nights at Glacier Park, the first day was rainy but the second day we took a really nice hike up to Grinnell Glacier. Then we kept on traveling south and we stopped at Egg Mountain and saw dinosaur fossils. Now we are in Bozeman for the night and we got to eat dinner with Cambria, Mac, and Bridger (our high school friends). It was great to see them!

These are artsy shots from when we left Banff early in the morning.

Perfection!

A few minutes later when the sun was a little higher.

We made a big circle to stay warm at lunch.

Artsy stop sign.

Sun rays coming through when we got to Glacier.

Sun rise outside the hotel.

We rode on two boats to get to our hike, it was a windy, chilly morning but turned into a beautiful day.

Pictures from the hike.

The berries looked delicious but we didn't eat them.

We swapped professors and now we have Jason and Meredith. Here is Jason talking to us in his English accent.

Scenic bathroom break.

Pretty flowers...

 ...and moss.

Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaine, one of our TAs.

Salamader Glacier and Grinnell Glacier with David Schatz in the foreground.

We saw a lot of wild life in Glacier Park. On the drive we saw two Grizzly Bears cross the road, one of them stood on its hind feet and growled at us and pretended to charge. We were glad to be in the van. On the hike up we saw a lot of Big Horn Sheep and then on the way down we saw a Mountain Goat. Right after seeing the Mountain Goat and Big Horn Sheep hopped on the trail and forced us up the trail for a few minutes, it was exciting!

Mr. Big Horn Sheep.

The Red Eagle Motel, the room on the right is the one that the Caldwells stayed in seven years at Glacier Park!

Lunch time at Egg Mountain.

Ying Qi with dinosaur bones!! That is one vertebrae!

Tomorrow we are heading to Big Horn Basin and staying at the Iowa State Field Camp. We will have internet so we'll put up some more posts there!

Peace out homies,

David Adams Sinclair and Isabel Sands Caldwell
